Sunday, October 7, was a very chilly morning, and the day Adam was ready to run his 3rd marathon. We got up extra early, got him some Dunkin Donuts coffee (we don't have one near us in MN and he LOVES it...and always has coffee before a race), then waited for the train...
Once we arrived near the starting line, among all 45,000 other runners and their supporters and race volunteers (yep, it was crazy), I held some of Adam's bulkier warm clothes, and he used a measly mini garbage bag to try to maintain some body heat.
I got some great views of the runners with the Chicago skyline in the background, as I rode the El between my viewing spots.
There's Adam in the red shirt and sunglasses.
Finished another marathon!...with a leg cramp, stitches in his mouth from an oral surgery 3 days before, and a possible stress fractures in his foot. Way to go, Adam. We are so proud of you.
