Spirit Week

During the end of April, there was a week at daycare where each day had a different theme of things to wear, do or bring in honor of "The Week of The Young Child". Some days were easier for us to participate in than others...

Crazy Hair Day

Beach Day

Mom and Son All Star Night

Last year Conor and I went to a mom and son pajama party and it was lots of fun, so when I saw an add for a mom and son sports-themed "all star" party, I signed us up right away. We got to play noodle hockey....
Badminton...
Scooter relay races...
Basketball...
... Frisbee, Soccer, Football, Limbo contests, eat snacks, dance, and do Arts & Crafts. It was a really fun night. I love getting to spend one on one time with this guy! Love you Conor!

Fundraiser kickoff

Laura has really gotten involved in the Crohns and Colitis Foundation as a volunteer for planning and organizing their local fundraiser events. One of the things we got invited to was a kickoff to start fundraising efforts for the big charity walk in June. This event had "Minute to Win It" games, food, prizes (the event was held on Riley's birthday, and she even won a Target gift card) and some time to skate on the ice rink. They didn't have skates small enough for Riley so she cheered us on from behind the glass, but Conor got to have his first attempt at ice skating. So fun!!!
Here is Conor learning to ice skate with Grandma, the former hockey cheerleader!!

Boxes or Carnival Rides?

Grandpa and the kids have found a new use for those empty boxes from diapers and wipes...the kids sit inside them and Grandpa spins and slides them around on the carpet...then sometimes makes them try to get up and walk when they're all dizzy. We hear lots of squeals and giggles when they play this game (don't let Riley's face fool you...she's probably just mad that we had to take a break to take a picture...or that it's Conor's turn next and not hers!)

A Message Meant for Me

I was reading a magazine at the dentist the other day and saw this. I think it was maybe meant for me...which is why the blog hasn't been updated in a while!! :)
