At the end of September, we had a family gathering through my work at a local park with an autumn theme. The kids were able to play at the park, paint pumpkins, make "gourmet" caramel apples, and eat from a giant pizza and giant chocolate chip cookie (really....they were like four feet in diameter--bigger than the kids!) It was a fun outing, but with so many kid-oriented activities, I felt like I was chasing them and helping them with everything, and didn't get as much time to socialize with my colleagues as I would have liked. But the kids sure had fun!
