Christmas Eve

Despite the fact that Adam and Laura had to work on Christmas Eve, they both got off early enough to keep our yearly Christmas Eve tradition of going to a movie. They met Grandma, Grandpa, me and the kids. We saw "Rise of the Guardians". It was Riley's first time in the theater and she did great. Conor sure enjoyed it too.
Afterwards, we stopped at Grandma's house to change clothes
(and snoop a little under the tree)
We headed to church for Christmas Eve mass
and afterwards stopped by a neighboring house who has Christmas lights synced to music. Riley fell asleep while we sat there watching for a little while, then Conor fell asleep on the way home. We had a quiet evening at home...

put out some reindeer food,
said goodbye to Johnny Buddy Tortilla (see a previous Elf on the Shelf post),
set out our milk and cookies,
and got ready for bed. Adam and I were up until midnight assembling some of the toys so the kids could play with them right away in the morning....good thing--they took a lot longer than we thought!
