Getting Ready for School

As much as I am a wonderful procrastinator, I am trying to be better organized and aim to do some things ahead of time to decrease the stress in my life. After I heard on the radio that the best school supply deals can be found in July, I decided to take advantage of some of those sales. So on a day I got off work early to take Conor to an eye doctor appointment, we spent some quality mom-son time afterwards shopping for his school supplies. Here he is checking off items from the list as we piled them in the cart...yep that whole list, which includes 20 glue sticks, 3 boxes of markers, 2 reams of copy paper, ziploc bags, paper plates and tissue paper, among the typical notebooks, folders, kleenexes and paper towels. It took an entire 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper for the whole list. And that doesn't include the art and technology supplies to be ordered directly through the school, the activity and field trip fee, or the uniforms. Kindergarten just may put us into bankrupty!! Oy!
