Trip to Milwaukee

The last weekend in June, we made our first road trip in quite some time. We traveled to Milwaukee for a much anticipated reunion with some Illinois friends (including Conor's "girlfriend" Madelyn...so who am I kidding?!?!! He was, by far, the most excited!). Adam signed up for a half marathon with some other friends and that was our excuse to meet in between and reunite for a weekend of fun.

It was a very foggy start to the race.
We had to get up pretty early. Conor was in good spirits and ready to cheer. Riley, on the other hand, was already ready for a nap! (I only wished she would have slept for a while, it might have made her a little less irritable later on.)
I tried to motivate them with donut holes and juice boxes for breakfast.
Excited to cheer on Daddy, Ariel, and Dianne, with our homemade signs.
Here comes Adam (red shirt and sunglasses) and Ariel (gray shirt with the thumbs up)
All 3 runners finished. Nice job!
The runners with their super fans
Daddy with his best supporters
I love this action shot of Conor running and jumping, so excited to see the lion mascot of the event sponsor.

So excited to be reunited

Got to go on a double date to see a movie...and how perfect, since the Madagascar series has made a lot of memories for these two together!
