Turkey Trot

We started Thanksgiving morning with an outing to downtown Minneapolis for a 5K Turkey Trot. Adam, my 2 sisters-Leah and Laura, and Laura's boyfriend-Nick, and I all ran the race together. It was my first race ever, but they have all done races before. Conor also ran a "Kids-K" race, one lap around the track inside. He had fun, but hasn't quite developed his competitive drive yet. Grandpa came along to help watch Conor while the rest of us ran. Grandma stayed home with Riley since it was a little chilly and we left kind of early. We got to come home to some great Thanksgiving food and felt a little less guilty for engorging ourselves after a little exercise in the morning. We didn't get any pictures of the adults running because we didn't want to carry our cameras, but here is Conor about to start his race.
Daddy ran alongside Conor to show him what to do
Proud race finishers
