Our First Visitors to MN

In December, we had our first visitors to Minnesota since moving here. Paulo, Kristine (one of my best friends I left behind, and former coworker), Madelyn and Noah came up for a long weekend along with Kristine's boss, Dr. Petrucci and his wife (they have some family who live in MN as well). We started the visit off with a Blackhawks vs. Wild hockey game. Conor, Madelyn, and Riley stayed home with my parents. It was a very exciting game, and ended up with the Blackhawks winning in a shootout! Paulo had to return home early to work, so Kristine and I took the kids downtown Minneapolis for the Macy's 8th floor walk-through storybook and the Hollidazzle Parade. These have been annual traditions in my family for years, so it was fun to share them. All four kids seemed to enjoy the outing, and certainly being with each other again. We headed back to their hotel afterwards for pizza and swimming. The kids had a blast, and Conor wanted to move to the hotel so we could do that every day!
